This completely natural Neyshabur turquoise shows bright sky-blue patches of turquoise scattered through a light brown and grey host rock, with dark brown flecks and a fine pale web that gives the face a spotted, mosaic-like look.
Cut as a polished teardrop cabochon measuring 11 × 15 mm with an approximate thickness of 5 mm and weighing 1.03 g (about 5.15 carats), it has a smooth polished face and a flat profile suited to pendants and rings.
